coreutils - configure: error: The 'time_t' type stops working after January 2038, and your system appears to support a wider 'time_t' — at Version 1

Reported by: RobK88 Owned by:
Priority: Normal Milestone:
Component: ports Version: 2.7.2
Keywords: Cc: mascguy@…
Port: coreutils

Description (last modified by RobK88)

I am unable to configure and install the coreutils port on High Sierra.

configure: error: The 'time_t' type stops working after January 2038,
and your system appears to support a wider 'time_t'.
                   Try configuring with 'CC="/usr/bin/clang -m64"'.
To build with a 32-bit time_t anyway (not recommended),
                   configure with '--disable-year2038'.

Here are more details.
