this error is being reported at the terminal. how can I install it?

We won't know until we see your main.log, but perhaps the problem you see is the same that we see on some of our build servers:
Error: Failed to destroot mars: xinstall: Cannot stat: /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/A/Resources/MacOS/JavaApplicationStub, No such file or directory
