I originally thought this was a case of the picky Ventura patch program not liking fuzzy patches so I defuzzed it, but my git tree was out of date and I defuzzed it against flashrom 1.2.1 and committed it. When that too failed I realized that in flashrom 1.3.0 this file no longer exists, at least not there, so further investigation is needed as to whether this patch is still needed.
