In the main.log i found:
:info:archivefetch ---> openjdk17-17.0.6_0+release+server.darwin_17.x86_64.tbz2 doesn't seem to exist in /opt/local/var/macports/incoming/verified :msg:archivefetch ---> Attempting to fetch openjdk17-17.0.6_0+release+server.darwin_17.x86_64.tbz2 from http://packages.macports.org/openjdk17 :debug:archivefetch Fetching archive failed: The requested URL returned error: 404 Not Found :msg:archivefetch ---> Attempting to fetch openjdk17-17.0.6_0+release+server.darwin_17.x86_64.tbz2 from http://fra.de.packages.macports.org/openjdk17 :debug:archivefetch Fetching archive failed: The requested URL returned error: 404 Not Found :msg:archivefetch ---> Attempting to fetch openjdk17-17.0.6_0+release+server.darwin_17.x86_64.tbz2 from http://mse.uk.packages.macports.org/openjdk17 :debug:archivefetch Fetching archive failed: The requested URL returned error: 404 Not Found

Ah, sorry for the noise.
It worked until 17.0.5 and then I didn't even think of it being stopped, especially since it still works for openjdk17-temurin 17.0.6.
Nevertheless, thanks for the good work!

Certainly not noise to report that something isn't working, especially if it's a regression. Hopefully this can be made to build on some older OS versions again, and even if it can't, the port can still be updated to indicate which ones it works on.

That's because the port doesn't build on High Sierra or earlier, per the port health indicators at:
