Though Installed MacPorts, not able to install putty

Description
I downloaded the MacPorts and installed on my mac m2, however when i run 'sudo port install putty'. I get Error: Port putty not found error. How do i resolve this?

The port exists, so this should not happen. Did you try sudo port selfupdate first?
