gobject-introspection 1.74.0 compile fails on Big Sur

I cannot get gobject-introspection 1.74.0 compile to compile on Big Sur (11.7.6).

Here's the output from a second port -v upgrade --enforce-variants outdated run and after I replace --quiet with -v in gobject-introspection-1.74.0/gir/meson.build with some manual line wrapping to above the lines scrolling to the right very far:

The upgrade to 1.76.1 got the compile to work. The release notes say

Yes, I reviewed the details in that issue, but there are a lot of fixes and such to dig through. Only spent a few minutes on it, but didn't see anything immediately obvious either.

Regardless, glad the problem is resolved!
