#67542 closed defect (fixed)

py310-pyarrow installation issue, needs apache-arrow port?

Reported by: ediosh Owned by: mascguy (Christopher Nielsen)
Priority: Normal Milestone:
Component: ports Version: 2.8.1
Keywords: py310-pyarrow apache-arrow Cc: essandess (Steve Smith)
Port: py310-pyarrow

Description

Using a MacBook Pro 2016 running Monterey 12.6.6

the port installs but afterwards there is an issue "Could not open /opt/local/lib/libarrow.1200.dylib: Error opening or reading file", which flags the entire py310-pyarrow port as broken.

I resolved this by installing the apache-arrow port. The py310-pyarrow port is no longer flagged as broken.

I thought we had all of this ironed out. But one of us will try to look at this over the next day or two.
