Bear in mind that openimageio is already updated to 2.4.12, for Big Sur and later. But it's pinned to 2.1.20 for 10.15 and earlier, due to the various dependencies involved. (And it's a foundational port for blender, which we're trying to continue supporting for older macOS releases.)

Ultimately we may need to create a new port for the older version - and perhaps for one or more of its dependencies - to support blender. At that point, we'll be able to update to the latest release across-the-board.

I checked the Portfile and it's at 2.4.5.0 not 2.4.12.0.
