Description
The avarice-devel port corresponds to a CVS snapshot sometime after the 2.3 release of avarice. With the release of avarice 2.4 and the corresponding Portfile change for avarice, there is no need for the avarice-devel port anymore. I am currently the maintainer for this port.

There doesn't appear to be whole lot of activity in the development of avarice. No check-ins were made since the release of 2.4, so I'd say that the port can be removed.
