Here is an updated portfile and patch. Also incorporates fixes from #10944. Please test this and report.

#10944 is still an issue with this patch. I am doing a final build to test a followup patch which both creates a valid .dylib and has correct paths inside the dylib so there aren't unresolved symbols... Please update this ticket with that patch when it's added to #10944.
