Opendx 4.4.4 Error when running on Mac OSX

Description
I seem to have successfully installed Opendx using <<< sudo port clean opendx sudo port install opendx configure.compiler=llvm-gcc-4.2
However, when I run the program, lots of error windows open up with the message <<< Format Error (1) encountered in packet >>>
The program freezes and nothing else happens. I have to force close the program. Is this to do with the port installation?
