Description

Dear macport-developers, I have just upgraded my Lion to Mountain Lion and I am trying to rebuild all my macports. I have problems with installing the gcc47 port (of course also gcc48, gcc46, gcc45 and gcc44). What shall I do? Thanks Marco

I fixed this on my install by re-agreeing to the license agreement, i.e., "sudo xcodebuild -license". Of course the usual caveats apply: clean the libunwind-headers build first, reinstall the command line utilities within Xcode first, to be safe redo your xcode-select first. Some of you may not be sudo'ing the license agreement. If you not running root and need to sudo you installs, you need to sudo the license.

That fixed it for me, thanks!

You should not have to use sudo when agreeing to the license agreement. If people are finding that that's necessary, then we have a bug in MacPorts. However, I can confirm that doing so also fixes the problem for me on Mountain Lion.

I had to use sudo on Mountain Lion.

Unfortunately this is an issue of Xcode, not libunwind-headers. At this point I cant do more than point to the "Xcode License Agreement" section on our ProblemHotlist page.

 sudo xcodebuild -license

Didn't seem to quite work, so I did

 mv /opt /optOLD

to hide the old install of mac ports, re-ran the mac ports installer, then

 sudo xcodebuild -license

and I was up and running again.

Michael, there is no bug; you just need to do what the error message told you to do:

:info:build You have not agreed to the Xcode license agreements, please run 'xcodebuild -license' (for user-level acceptance) or 'sudo xcodebuild -license' (for system-wide acceptance) from within a Terminal window to review and agree to the Xcode license agreements.
