install failure from:
sudo port install groff
---> Computing dependencies for groff
---> Staging groff into destroot
Error: org.macports.destroot for port groff returned: command execution failed
Please see the log file for port groff for details:
/opt/local/var/macports/logs/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_tarballs_ports_sysutils_groff/groff/main.log
I've attached main.log.gz of the above log.

The log you attached contains lines that say "Skipping completed", showing that this was not a clean build attempt, so please "sudo port clean groff" and try again, and attach the new main.log if it fails again.
