This looks like a texinfo5 issue, which is probably because this port is outdated: #31578

Also, has duplicate #44093

Version: 2.2.1

The ports seems to build fine on the buildbot at the moment.

See also:

MinGW-w64: add win64 cross-compiler
binutils: upgrade to 2.27 -> 2.29.1
i386-mingw32: remove ports, replaced by i686-w64-mingw32

I would be grateful for further feedback & whether or not this is still a problem for you.

Then again I would be in favour of removing this port, you can install i686-w64-mingw32-binutils now.
