xrootd @4.11.0: Could NOT find libuuid

Description

​xrootd fails to configure, which may be because: 

CMake Error at cmake/FindLibUuid.cmake:17 (MESSAGE):
  Could NOT find libuuid
Call Stack (most recent call first):
  cmake/XRootDFindLibs.cmake:6 (find_package)
  CMakeLists.txt:30 (include)

-- Checking for module 'uuid'
--   No package 'uuid' found

Only seems to affect 10.9 though...

​https://ports.macports.org/port/xrootd/builds

other builds also fail to find libuuid, but for whatever reason still succeed...
