I'm creating a new port for DP. I've never done this, so I don't know what steps I need to take. I've included the Portfile I have so far.

I added some stuff to your Portfile - check it out via `port edit euchre' as soon as it made its way through;

btw., please don't inline files, it's a pain to rip them out again! ;)
