e.g. debian bookworm has bzr as a "transitional dummy package for brz"; this installs "brz/stable,now 3.3.2-3" Works: compatible with `bzr as in macports on macOS 10.13.6 (High Sierra)'. Promising?

Our bzr port is out of date, but the latest version 2.7.0 was released in 2016, and there were no commits to the bzr repository after 2017. I agree we should retire the bzr port and add a port for the Breezy fork.

perhaps it's time to abandon this Python 2.7-only package that isn't being developed anymore and move to the Breeze fork instead?
