#43374 closed defect (invalid)

unable to upgrade gmp (and other ports)

Reported by: jeff@… Owned by: macports-tickets@…
Priority: Normal Milestone:
Component: ports Version: 2.2.1
Keywords: mavericks Cc:
Port:

Description (last modified by ryandesign (Ryan Carsten Schmidt))

I seem to be running into this on many ports when trying to upgrade them. The download takes a few hops to find a hit, then tries to install and fails on a missing /usr/bin/gnutar.

This seems to have occurred after installing the latest XCode command-line tools. /usr/bin/gnutar no longer exists.

selfupdate hasn't provided a fix.

After upgrading to Mavericks (or any new version of OS X), you need to reinstall MacPorts. Please read MavericksProblems and wiki:Migration.
