I guess, this port now definitely qualifies as abandoned.

james, please confirm, that you are still available as maintainer and I will commit the changes.
It's openmaintainer like all my port. I am not possessive. Go ahead, commit the changes.
Conclusions: Not abandoned! I'd rather leave a committer as maintainer. James, can become co-maintainer if he wishes to.

Is invalid the correct resolution type. Could be also worksforme ;-)

I would say "invalid" makes the most sense here.
